- Competed in seven meets
- Finished second in the long jump (5.75m) and fourth in the 300 meters (40.75) in her first collegiate meet at the Colonel Bev Read Opener (12/6)
- Won the long jump (6.08m) and 4x400-meter relay (3:50.89) at the VMI Invitational (1/23-1/24)
- Placed seventh in the long jump in 5.81m at the Sun Belt Championship (2/23-2/24)
High School:
- 2025 Class 5A State Champion in the long jump and 300-meter hurdles
- Earned First Team All-National honors
- Set 5A state record in the long jump at 20-3.5
- Helped lead Maury to 2025 VHSL Class 5A State Outdoor Championship
Personal:
- Daughter of Melendez Byrd and Lynelle Slade-Byrd
- Has a younger brother, Blake, and an older sister, Mya
- Father Melendez played linebacker at Virginia Tech (1989-93), played one season for the Baltimore Stallions in the Canadian Football League
- Melendex is currently a professor and the department chair for the Professional School Counseling program at Norfolk State
- Mother Lynelle Slade-Byrd played volleyball at Virginia Tech (1993-98)
- Sister Mya currently plays tennis at Old Dominion (2022-Pres.)
