2008-09:Â Outdoor track--Conference (CAA) Commissioner's Academic Award. Â Other--JMU Athletic Director Scholar Athlete.
High school: Outdoor track--Four-time all-region in pole vault. Four-time all-district in pole vault. District runner-up in pole vault as a freshman and sophomore. District champion in pole vault as a junior and senior. Team captain as a senior. Team finished first in district 2007, 2008 and was runner-up 2005, 2006.  Other--School's Mule Pride Award as a senior. Debbie McPhearson Memorial Scholarship Award. Also played volleyball and went to Junior Olympics with her club team. Volleyball team captain as a senior and two-time all-district second team. Honor Roll student.
Personal: Christine Scherrer. Communications major. Her grandfather, Wally Moon, played baseball for the Los Angeles Dodgers and helped coach the St. Louis Cardinals.
