Erica Moolman cleared 3.92m (12-10.25) to capture James Madison track & field's program record in the outdoor pole vault to highlight the Dukes' first day of High Point's VertKlasse Meeting on Friday at Vert Stadium.

Moolman passed former teammate
Rachel Lloyd's previous school record of 3.91m (12-10), set at the JMU Invite on April 16, 2022. The graduate student also owns the school's No. 2 mark in the indoor pole vault at 3.75m (12-3.5), just behind Lloyd's 2023 height of 3.81m (12-6).

Kam'Dyn Thomas (400H),
Ryann Bennett (Hammer Throw) and
Kyndal Turner (100m) also registered top-10 program performances. Thomas finished first in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:02.06, good for No. 5 in school history. Bennett moved into eighth in the JMU record book in the hammer throw with an effort of 45.74m (150-1), topping her previous career-best mark of 42.55m (139-7) from last season. Meanwhile, Turner produced a time of 11.87 in the 100-meter dash – the 10th-best time in program history – to place second overall in the event.

How It Happened
- Faith Fuqua ran a wind-aided time of 24.21 (+4.2) in the 200-meter dash for fifth.
- In her first meet back, Kadence Wilson clocked in at 57.26 to lead the Dukes in the 400-meter dash. Esther Saint-Germain followed closely behind with a PR of 57.33.
- Izzy Greene paced the Dukes in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:45.15 in the first heat.
- In the high jump, Violet Evans placed second with a personal-best leap of 1.59m (5-2.5).
