Jacob Morgan joined the James Madison athletics staff in 2017 as the Head Equipment Manager at the Convocation Center, working directly with JMU’s basketball teams and spirit squads.
Morgan works daily with the basketball and spirit staffs to address and implement equipment operations, while providing liaison services with various vendors, including Nike Gameday, to fulfill team needs throughout the teams’ seasons, while also handling on-court and locker room needs for visiting teams and officials on game days.
Prior to arriving at JMU, Morgan was on staff at Tennessee State from 2014-17, including serving as the Interim Equipment Manager in his final year, overseeing complete day-to-day operations of the football equipment room.
Morgan is a graduate of Auburn, earning his Bachelor of Science in 2012 while serving as a manager for the football team from 2010-12 and an equipment intern for the 2012-13 school year. While there, he worked primarily with the football team, while also spending extended time with both basketball teams, softball and gymnastics.
