Morgan Roth joined JMU as an assistant athletic trainer in 2020, having worked with women’s basketball and men’s soccer with the Dukes already. Roth comes to Harrisonburg after four years at Longwood, where she worked as an assistant athletic trainer for two years before being promoted to assistant director of sports medicine for the final two years. While in Farmville, she worked with women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s cross country and men’s and women’s tennis. Prior to Longwood, she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at UNC and worked with the gymnastics and softball teams. She received her post-professional master’s in exercise and sport science with a focus in athletic training in 2016. The State College, Pa. native earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Duquesne in 2014.
Roth and her husband CJ share a pair of pups, Mocha and Kona.
