Ali Curwin

Former three-year starter and team captain Ali Curwin is in her first season as volunteer assistant coach for the JMU lacrosse team in 2016.Â
She was a three-time All-CAA honoree and a member of the All-Academic Team once. Curwin was twice named to the CAA All-Tournament Team, including the Most Outstanding Player honor at the 2015 CAA Championship, in which she led the Dukes to the tournament title.
As a senior in 2015, Curwin was an IWLCA Second Team All-Region and First Team All-CAA honoree. She ranked fourth on the team in goals (34) and points (52) while being third in assists (18). She was also a finalist for the Yeardley Reynolds Love Unsung Hero Award, one of five players nationally to make the list.
In 73 career games, Curwin tallied 85 goals and 54 assists for 139 points. She also tallied 109 ground balls, 86 draw controls and 52 caused turnovers.
Curwin wrapped up her career ranking tied for 11th in assists (51), 15th in draw controls (86) and caused turnovers (52) and 18th in points (139).
