CARAVELLO TIES FOR FOURTH AT WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS MEET

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Jan. 29, 2006 - Senior Jessica Caravello (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) tied for fourth overall on beam as the James Madison women's gymnastics team competed Sunday afternoon at the University of North Carolina.

Caravello posted a top team score of 9.750 on beam. Senior Lindsey Ribeiro (Fleetwood, Pa./Central Catholic) finished in 12th place in vault with a 9.575 while senior Lauren Caravello (Westfield, N.J./Westfield), and sophomore's Riley Barrar (Swansea, Mass./Somerset) and Melissa Morganstern (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) tied for 18th place with a 9.425.

Kentucky posted a top team score of 193.450 with Maryland finishing in second place with a score of 191.975. JMU finished in fourth place with a score of 183.350.

The Dukes next meet is scheduled for Friday, February 3 at home against William & Mary. The meet is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
