FOUR JAMES MADISON ARCHERS NAMED TO ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

HARRISONBURG, Va., May 3, 2006 -- Four members of the James Madison archery team have been named to the 2006 USA Archery All-Academic Team.

Honored for compound bow were sophomores Braden Gellenthien (Hudson, Mass./Hudson) and Jedd Greshock (Shenandoah, Pa./Shenandoah Valley), and freshman Stephen Schwade (Summerville, S.C./Monroe-Woodbury, N.Y.).

Sophomore Jacob Wukie (Oak Harbor, Ohio/Fremont Ross) was JMU's lone recurve archer named to the team.

To be eligible for the team, archers must finish in the top 25 percent of their division at the U.S. Indoor Championships and have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better.

JMU's four selections were second only to Texas A&M's five members.
