HARRISONBURG, Va., Oct. 19, 2007 ? James Madison University recovered from dropping game one and used an emphatic run in game three to pull out a 3-1 women's volleyball victory over Virginia Commonwealth University on Friday night in a Colonial Athletic Association match in Sinclair Gymnasium.

JMU (13-8, 4-3 CAA) defeated VCU (6-15, 3-5 CAA) by game scores of 25-30, 30-21, 30-26, and 30-20. The Dukes won their third match in a row and outhit the Rams .231 to .112.
Senior Allyson Halls (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy) had a match-high 19 kills and four digs for JMU. She climbed from a tie for sixth to fourth in JMU history with 1,134 kills, passing Larissa Winkler (1998-00, 2002) with 1,115 and Emilee Hussack (2002-05) with 1,128. She needs 23 kills to tie for fourth. Halls also moved into ninth in career attack attempts with 2,329, passing Jessica Evers (1999-02) with 2,284.
Junior Kelsey McNamara (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) continued her resurgent play of late with 12 kills and a .233 attack percentage. Freshman Lindsay Callahan (Virginia Beach, Va./Landstown) had her fifth double-double of the season with 11 kills, 12 digs, and three blocks. Junior Michelle Johnson (Los Gatos, Calif./Los Gatos) tallied 10 kills with team bests of six blocks and a .474 attack percentage.
Junior setter Lauren Miles (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) had 51 assists, five kills, and seven digs. She moved into fourth on JMU's career assists chart with 2,552, passing Kari Kopnicky (1995-97) with 2,518. Senior libero Jena Pierson (San Antonio, Texas/James Madison) collected 28 digs. Freshman Lindsey Drolshagen (Fresno, Calif./Clovis West) added 13 digs.
