HARRISONBURG, Va., Oct. 20, 2007 ? James Madison University hit .290 as a team to breeze past the College of William and Mary in a Colonial Athletic Association women's volleyball match on Saturday night in Sinclair Gymnasium.

JMU (14-8, 5-3 CAA) defeated W&M (11-11, 6-3 CAA) by game scores of 30-21, 30-21, and 30-16. The Tribe entered the match in a first-place tie with Delaware in the CAA standings. The Dukes won their fourth match in a row and have won 12 of their last 16 overall.
Senior Allyson Halls (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy) paced the Dukes with 15 kills and a blistering .519 attack percentage (15-1-27). She also had a career-high 14 digs for her second double-double of the season and posted five blocks. Junior Michelle Johnson (Los Gatos, Calif./Los Gatos) was also impressively accurate with nine kills while hitting .474 (9-0-19). Freshman Lindsay Callahan (Virginia Beach, Va./Landstown) had 12 kills and seven digs.
Senior libero Jena Pierson (San Antonio, Texas/James Madison) had 26 digs for an 8.67 per game average. She also matched the career high she posted on Friday with five assists. Pierson's 26 digs gave her 477 for the season to push her from fifth to second in season assists at JMU, trailing only the 655 she collected last year. She now owns three of the top four totals in JMU history.
Junior setter Lauren Miles (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) had a strong all-around match, coming within three kills of the triple double. She had 39 assists with a strong .429 setting percentage. She also had 12 digs for her fourth double-double of the season. Miles had seven kills and hit .300 (7-1-20).
