CHARLESTON, S.C. – James Madison volleyball came back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat College of Charleston in five sets in a Colonial Athletic Association matchup Friday night. The Dukes advanced to 17-3 on the season and remained undefeated in conference play, moving to 7-0 while the Cougars fell to 11-9 (3-3 CAA).

th double-double of the season with 23 kills and 13 digs. Senior outside hitter

Kelly Robertson recorded career-high numbers in the match with 56 assists and 14 kills, respectively.
After falling in the first two sets of the match, JMU took control late in the third set after a six-point run at the 23-19 mark. The Dukes took the last two points of the match after a timeout, capped by an ace by
Sierra Hahn-Ventrell.
Madison shifted the momentum with a four-point run starting at the 14-14 mark putting itself ahead 18-14. A kill by Goodman closed the door on the Cougars with the final two points of the set to force set five.
JMU took the lead for the first time in set five after a four-point run following a timeout to make it 13-11. Goodman sealed the win with a kill to clinch the 15-13 set.

With 23 kills on the night right side hitter Janey Goodman has earned 991 kills in her career just nine away from 1,000. Goodman tallied 327 kills as a freshman in 2013 followed by 369 as sophomore in 2014. She is currently averaging 4.15 kills per set on the season.
Last Time It HappenedThe Dukes are on a 10-game win streak beginning with a 3-0 weekend in the JMU Invitational on Sept. 18 and 19. The last time Madison won 10 straight games was in the 2002 season from Sept. 24- Oct. 25. With the 17-3 record, JMU is off to its best start since 1999 when they advanced to the NCAA tournament.
Looking Ahead James Madison returns to action Sunday, October 18 at 1 p.m. in Wilmington, N.C. when they take on UNCW. The Seahawks are 6-1 in the CAA and 15-4 overall including a current four game win streak.
