STORRS, Conn. – The James Madison women's volleyball team fell to host Connecticut in three sets to close out the Dog Pound Challenge Tournament. The Dukes are now 5-2 on the season while the Huskies advance to 4-2.

Janey Goodman led the Dukes with 12 kills followed by senior outside hitter

Taylor Austin led the Dukes in digs, tallying 15 on the day.
The Huskies compiled 47 kills to compliment a .269 team hitting percentage to outhit the Dukes. JMU took control of the leaderboards in blocks, accumulating five team blocks to Connecticut's one.
In the third set the Dukes and Huskies went back-and-forth, forcing the game to go to extra points and eventually ending 26-24 in the Huskies' favor.
The match marks only the second loss of the season for the Dukes contributing to a 5-1 tournament record on the season.
