CONWAY, S.C. – James Madison men's tennis was unable to overcome an early deficit as Coastal Carolina defeated the Dukes 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Chanticleers (9-2) won the doubles point with a pair of 6-3 victories to take an early 1-0 lead over the Dukes (6-5) before posting three two-set singles victories to secure match point.

Brett Moorhead's four-match win streak was ended by Vuk Velickovic (6-4, 6-0) at No. 2 singles while junior
Sebastian Salinas dropped to 6-3 in spring duals with a two-set loss (6-1, 6-2) to Jabor Al-Mutawa at No. 1 singles. Junior
Alex Berdnikoff fell 6-1, 6-3 to Luiz Faria at No. 6 singles to round out the CCU scoring.

Maxi Branth was leading 1-0 in a third set at No. 3 singles against Pedro Leme when the match was halted.
JMU has a quick turnaround with a Sunday morning match-up at College of Charleston. The Dukes and Cougars face off at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Charleston, S.C.
