HARRISONBURG, Va. - The James Madison women's soccer team will close out its 2017 home regular season schedule on Thursday, Oct. 19, with a 7 p.m. contest against second-place Drexel. Prior to the match, the Dukes will celebrate the careers of their four seniors:
Maggie Buxton,
Nicole Caston,
Colleen Gawkins and
Kylie Hegemier.

Maggie Buxton | Goalkeeper | Round Hill, Va. | Woodgrove

In Buxton's time at JMU, she has been a significant part of the Dukes' goalkeeping success. Last year as a junior, she saw the Dukes into the CAA Semifinals with a clean sheet against College of Charleston in the CAA Quarterfinals before racking up a career-high 10 saves against Drexel. In all, she tallied 18 saves across 315 minutes last season. In the spring, Maggie will graduate with a degree in kinesiology with a minor in coaching.

Nicole Caston | Defender | Downington, Pa. | Stem Academy

Caston has proven to be a crucial member of the JMU backfield throughout her career as a Duke, starting 38 matches across her final two seasons in Harrisonburg. As a sophomore, she started 22 of the Dukes' 23 contests, playing a total of 2,023 minutes. This season, Nicole has started every match, helping to marshal JMU's powerful backline while only missing 39 minutes across the entire season. Nicole will graduate in the spring with a degree in nursing.

Colleen Gawkins | Forward | Haymarket, Va. | Battlefield

Gawkins joined the Dukes prior to the 2015 season after transferring from Tennessee. The forward has played in 45 games, starting in 10 across her three years at JMU. Colleen has scored five goals, including the game-winner in last year's CAA Quarterfinals, and garnered one assist in her career as a Duke. Earlier this season, the Haymarket, Va. product scored twice in the opening half against Villanova, notching the game-winner in the 3-1 victory. In the spring, Colleen will graduate with a degree in communications, specializing in public relations.

Kylie Hegemier | Defender/Midfielder | Charlottesville, Va. | St. Anne's-Belfield

Hegemier has been a crucial part of the JMU defense and midfield, having played in 46 matches while making 34 starts as a Duke. Last season, Kylie scored her first collegiate goal in a 3-1 victory over Elon, and as a sophomore tallied her first assist in a draw against William & Mary. This season, she battled her way back from an early injury, working her way back onto the field to appear in five contests already. Kylie will graduate in the spring with a degree in international business.

In all, the 2017 seniors have already racked up 43 wins across their four seasons as Dukes, a stretch that already includes three trips to the CAA Semifinals and the 2015 CAA Championship, the fourth title in program history.

The Dukes are currently in fifth place in the league table heading into Thursday's match, which will be broadcast live on MadiZone HD SportsNet presented by the JMU Alumni Association, and will close out the regular season at Delaware on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m.
