SAN MARCOS, Texas – After capturing a sweep against Incarnate Word (25-15, 25-21, 25-19), James Madison volleyball fell to Creeds & Crests Classic hosts Texas State (25-14, 25-12, 16-25, 26-24) despite a late 11-2 run from the Dukes in the fourth set.
After splitting the day, the Dukes hold a 4-2 record. Incarnate Word fell to 0-4 while Texas State improved to 2-3.
Junior
M'Kaela White was a force on both the offense and defense for the Purple and Gold, racking up 25 kills and nine total blocks. Junior
Sarah Martin had 36 assists in each match on the day – 72 total. With total 25 digs, junior
Sarah Driscoll led the Dukes. Senior
Jacqui Koebel produced a team-high four service aces and, as a squad, the Dukes had 11.
MATCH ONE NOTES – INCARNATE WORD

Bryn Recker had a match-high 14 kills, followed by
M'Kaela White with 12.
- With 10 digs, Recker posted her third double-double performance on the season.
