SAN MARCOS, Texas – Despite a first-set stumble, James Madison notched their second win during the Creeds & Crests Class over Abilene Christian University (24-26, 25-11, 25-14, 28-26) Saturday afternoon to cap the weekend.

The Dukes improved to 5-2 after garnering two triumphs on the weekend, while the Wildcats fell to 2-5.

With two back-to-back kills to seal the JMU victory, redshirt junior
Kelly Vahos hit a match-high .571 attack percentage, while junior
M'Kaela White led the match with 15 kills and six blocks. Also with six blocks was senior
Taylor Gail. Senior
Jacqui Koebel had match-high 16 digs.

Sarah Martin achieved a triple-double with 45 assists, 13 kills and 12 digs, making Martin the first Colonial Athletic Association player to do so in 2018.

- With two aces, White set a new career high.
- Martin hit .500 with only one error, while White hit .483 with a sole error.
- As a squad, the Dukes produced a .329 attack percentage on the match with their highest hitting percentage of .424 coming in the third set.

The Dukes will hit the court in their last tournament of 2018. JMU will compete in the Charm City Challenge September 7-8, playing Loyola (Md.), UMBC and Robert Morris.
