LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - Freshman
Kendall Turner picked up her first career top 10 on Tuesday afternoon, leading the way as the James Madison women's golf team captured ninth place at the Pat Bradley Invitational, hosted by FIU at the par-72, 6,261-yard Cypress Links course at Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club.
Turner posted her third par-or-better round of the week, the first three of her collegiate career, closing with an even-par 72 that moved her up a spot on the leaderboard and into a tie for seventh at the 90-player event. In addition to notching the best finish of her young career, her 54-hole score of 214 (-2) was tied for the sixth-lowest 54-hole score to-par in program history.
As a team, the Dukes carded a final-round 300 (+12) to take home sole possession of ninth for the week among 17 teams at the tournament. For the week, the Dukes' 54-hole total of 887 (+23) also vaulted record lists, standing as the second-lowest tournament score to-par in JMU history.
Freshman
Ana Tsiros matched her own first round on Tuesday, cutting two strokes from Monday to close with a 75 (+3) that moved her up into a tie for 54th, while sophomore
Kate Owens posted a final-day 76 (+4) to take home a tie for 28th.
Senior
Lauren Comegys (t-43) and sophomore
Carly Lyvers (t-80) closed out the JMU scoring on the afternoon with matching final rounds of 77 (+5).

"We didn't quite finish the way we were hoping to today, but we had a really strong week that we can definitely build on as we get ready to close out the fall season in a couple weeks. We're also excited for Kendall to pick up her first top-10 finish after a great week of play and we're looking forward to seeing her game continue to get stronger."

The Dukes will close out the fall campaign in two weeks, traveling to Macon, Ga. to take part in the Idle Hour Collegiate, hosted by Mercer at Idle Hour Golf and Country Club on Nov. 4-5.
