- James Madison will begin a three-game road swing on Sunday when the Dukes travel to take on RV/RV West Virginia inside of the WVU Coliseum. Tip is set for 6 p.m. with the game broadcast live on ESPN+.
- On Wednesday, JMU dominated the middle quarters to earn a 79-69 victory over George Washington. With the win, the Dukes improved to 6-0 at home when playing against the Colonials.

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
- West Virginia began conference play with a bout against No. 7/7 Baylor in Morgantown and suffered a 65-45 loss on Thurday night. With the loss, the Mountaineers dropped to 4-1 (0-1 Big 12) on the season.
- Kirsten Deans paced West Virginia with 10 points, going a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity stripe along with three assists and a pair of steals. Esmery Martinez nearly posted a double double as she dropped nine points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds while also securing two steals and an assist.
- On the season, Kysre Gondrezick leads the team scoring 20.2 points a game (62nd in Division I).
SERIES HISTORY
- Sunday's contest will be the 11th matchup between the Dukes and the Mountaineers.
- West Virginia leads the overall series 7-3 including a two-game 3-1 lead when playing in Morgantown.
- In the last meeting on March 23, 2018, JMU traveled to the WVU Coliseum and dropped a 67-55 decision to the Mountaineers in the WNIT Round of 16. Then-sophomore Kelly Koshuta nearly secured a double double with a game-high 22 points and nine rebounds to go along with a blocked shot.
