LEXINGTON, Ky. – Sophomore
Miranda Stanhope was the first Duke to cross the finish line at the NCAA Southeast Regional Friday morning at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Lexington, Kentucky.
Stanhope finished just outside an all-region performance as she was the 28
th overall runner to finish the 6,000-meter race with a time of 20:58.9.
James Madison collected 484 points to finish 19
th out of 31 teams. NC State won the regional race with 34 points followed by North Carolina (73 points) and Kentucky (103 points).
Rookie
Sofia Terenziani was the second in the purple and gold to cross the finish line in the 101
st (22:23.8) spot.
Laura Webb followed close behind with her 109
th-finish of 22:33.8.

Dave Rinker. "Once again Miranda came through with a hard-fought race. I still believe we are better than the results, but sickness just held us back today."
