The opening draw is slated for a 5 p.m. start at Dorrance Field and will be streamed live on ESPN3.

It's the second all-time meeting between JMU and JHU, with the Dukes taking a 14-9 win back on May 13, 2004 in the NCAA first round.

The winner of JMU and Hopkins advances to Sunday's second round to face top-seeded North Carolina at noon.

JMU IN THE NCAA TOURNEY
- JMU is embarking on its 17th appearance all-time in the NCAA Championship, which includes a program-record sixth consecutive appearance.
- The Dukes are 12-15 all-time in the tournament. They are 8-3 at home, 1-8 away and 3-4 in neutral-site games.
- JMU has produced a victory in nine of its previous 16 berths in the NCAA Championship.
- This marks the Dukes' second matchup against the Big Ten, as it fell at Penn State in the 2017 second round.
- JMU is also seeking its first NCAA tournament win in the state of North Carolina, having gone 0-3 in previous trips to Durham in 1999, 2006 and 2015.
- JMU is just three years removed from capturing its first national championship, as it beat Virginia, Florida, North Carolina and Boston College on its way to the title.

FOUR-PEAT! JMU CAPTURES CAA TITLE IN OVERTIME
- JMU won its fourth consecutive CAA championship after rallying from a three-goal deficit for a 13-12 overtime win against Drexel in the conference title game.
- The Dukes became the first team in league history to win four straight CAA tournament championships.
- Drexel went on a 6-0 run to snag a 12-9 lead with 4:58 to play. Taylor Marchetti scored twice in a span of 2:14, and Katelyn Morgan tied the game with 73 seconds remaining.
- Lizzy Fox scored the game-winning goal on a free-position shot with 2:05 remaining in the extra period.
- Molly Dougherty turned in a season-high 16 saves to earn CAA Championship Most Outstanding Performer.
- Peterson scored a game-high five goals, while Marchetti had three goals. Emma Johnson led the defense with three caused turnovers and four ground balls.Â
