MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – James Madison women's tennis completed play at the Martha Thorn Invitational (Oct. 7-9), with three student-athletes participating at the Mountaineer Tennis Courts.Â

The group consisting of
Kylie Moulin,
Hayley Glen and
Alexandra Prudente competed this past weekend. Moulin finished 3-0 in singles play, while Glen and Prudente each collected a singles win apiece.Â

In addition to the five singles wins, Prudente also notched a doubles win while playing with Penn State's Aline Lebedeva.

The event was played with a hidden-dual format. Friday featured doubles against West Virginia and Louisville and singles against host WVU. On Saturday, JMU faced Duquesne in singles and doubles, and rounded out the weekend with Sunday singles matches with Louisville.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Friday, Oct. 7 – Doubles vs. WVU/Louisville and Singles vs. WVU
JMU opened the event with tough outings in doubles against West Virginia and Louisville. The Dukes fell in all four matches, which included a tough tiebreak setback when Glen and PSU's Lebedeva dropped a 7-6 (5) decision to WVU's Kendall Kovick and Tatiana Lipatova.

The Dukes rallied back with a pair of singles wins against the Mountaineers, as Moulin rallied for a 6-7 (2), 6-4, 1-0 (8) victory versus Michaela Kucharova, while Glen breezed past Catherine Wassick, 6-2, 6-1.

Saturday, Oct. 8 – Doubles and Singles vs. Duquesne
JMU opened Saturday with its lone doubles triumph of the weekend when Prudente and PSU's Lebedeva blanked Duquesne's Una Utrilla Benito and Natasha Novak, 6-0.

In singles play, Moulin cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win against Anastasiia Kotsyuba, and Prudente conceded just one game en route to a 6-1, 6-0 victory versus Utrilla Benito.

Sunday, Oct. 9 – Singles vs. Louisville
JMU finished the weekend in Morgantown with another singles win from Moulin. She secured her 3-0 singles record with a 6-4, 5-1 retired victory against Louisville's Andrea Di Palma.

UP NEXT
JMU will be back in action for its last fall tournament when it travels to Blacksburg, Va., for the ITA Atlantic Regional Championship on Oct. 20-24.
