Women's Hoops Host Delaware for Senior Day

THE DUKES

The Dukes host Delaware at the Atlantic Union Bank Center on Saturday, Mar. 5 at 4 p.m. for the final home game of the 2021-22 season.
Prior to the start of Saturday's game, the James Madison women's basketball seniors will be honored for their contributions to the program.
JMU is coming off an 80-60 loss to Drexel on Thursday evening. Kiki Jefferson led the Dukes with 22 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal. Both Annalicia Goodman and Jaylin Carodine tied for a team-best six rebounds.
Jefferson is JMU's leading scorer with 18.8 points per game. She adds 6.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per outing.
Jefferson has made 168 foul shots thus far this season to rank third in the country in made free throws.
Carodine is just one of two players in the conference averaging 10+ rebounds a night as she leads the Dukes with 10.4 boards per game. The senior guard adds 6.3 points each game.
JMU enters their final game of the season shooting 37.9% from the floor, 27.9% from beyond the arc and 73.4% from the foul line.

SCOUTING THE BLUE HENS

Delaware arrives in Harrisonburg with a record of 21-6 (15-2 CAA). The Blue Hens are currently on a three-game winning streak.
Most recently, Delaware topped Towson 85-71 Thursday night on the road. Tyi Skinner led the Blue Hens with a game-high 25 points.
Ty Battle pulled down a whopping 24 rebounds, tying the conference record for most rebounds in a single game.
Jasmine Dickey is the leading scorer for Delaware, averaging 25.1 points per game. Dickey's scoring average ranks third in the country.
Dickey totals 164 made free throws this season, ranking right behind JMU's Jefferson at fourth in the nation.
Battle averages 11.3 boards per night to lead the conference and ranks 14^th in the nation. She adds 13.5 points per game to average a double-double.
The Blue Hens rank third in the country with 17.1 offensive rebounds per game.

Delaware leads the all-time series 12-10 against the Dukes.
The Blue Hens won the last meeting between the two programs 64-57 on Jan. 18, 2022 in Newark, Del.
Jefferson led the Dukes with a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Carodine was the leading rebounder for JMU with 14.
