SPARTANBURG, S.C. – James Madison cross country saw three runners finish in the top 25 to place fifth out of 32 teams at the USC Upstate Invite 5K race on Saturday morning.
JMU finished with 169 points (4-17-23-41-84), just three points behind fourth-place College of Charleston with 166. Furman took home the team title with 66 points as the Paladins' scorers all recorded an average time of 17:39, followed by Charleston Southern (139) and Radford (149).
