NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – James Madison lacrosse stayed at No. 4 in the national rankings, keeping that mark in the ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll announced Monday morning.

The Dukes remain at their highest in-season ranking since the 2018 season, having now been ranked top five overall for five consecutive weeks.

JMU tied a program record with its 14th straight win on Sunday, downing Cincinnati 17-8 at Sentara Park. The win clinched a share of the American Athletic Conference regular season championship, with JMU earning the chance to win outright in the final game of the regular season against ECU. The win also marked a perfect 8-0 home record throughout the regular season.

In the win, JMU was led by four hat tricks, including five goals and two assists from redshirt junior
Isabella Peterson. On defense,
Mairead Durkin provided four caused turnovers and four ground balls while
Rachel Matey controlled things in the circle, tying a season high with eight draw controls.

JMU (14-1, 5-0) is set for a road matchup at Rutgers on Sunday, April 23 at noon to close its non-conference schedule.
