FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – A three-run homer off the bat of junior
Fenwick Trimble gave James Madison an early lead, but No. 3 Arkansas scored six unanswered runs to win the season opener, 6-4, on Friday afternoon at Baum-Walker Stadium.

The Dukes fall to 0-1 in the early season while the Razorbacks move to 1-0.

Trimble led the Dukes at the plate, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and three RBI's. Classmate
Todd Mozoki started on the mound and went three innings, striking out four and walking three while allowing six runs.

How It Happened
First Inning
The Dukes got on the board after redshirt senior
Mason Dunaway led off with a walk and was followed by sophomore
Mike Mancini getting hit by a pitch. Trimble then stepped up and won a 10-pitch at bat by taking a 3-2 pitch over the center field wall for a 3-0 lead.

UA answered with two of their own in the bottom half of the inning, using a pair of run-scoring singles to cut the deficit to one.

Second Inning
Jared Sprague-Lott tied the game two pitches into the bottom half of the inning with a solo shot to left field. Two batters later, Hudson White gave the Razorbacks the 4-3 lead on his own home run.

Third Inning
A two-run single from Sprague-Lott made it six unanswered runs by Arkansas to give the hosts a 6-3 lead.

Sixth Inning
JMU took a run back as Trimble led off the sixth with a double and then advanced to third and scored on back-to-back groundouts. The run-scoring groundout came off the bat of junior
Coleman Calabrese.
