Public Press Conference Slated for April 30 to Welcome JMU AD Matt Roan

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison University will officially welcome its new director of athletics, Matt Roan, with an introductory press conference on Tuesday, April 30 at 3 p.m. in the Atlantic Union Bank Center.

The event will take place on the main facility floor and will be open to the public with free admission and parking available in the Ballard Parking Deck, adjacent to the AUBC. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. At the conclusion of media obligations, Matt Roan and his family will greet all guests in the Campanelli Club.

The press conference will also be streamed live on the JMUSports Facebook page. JMU President Jonathan Alger and outgoing AD Jeff Bourne will also participate in the press event.

Roan was officially announced as the new AD at James Madison on Thursday, April 18 and was introduced to the university board of visitors on Friday, April 19.
