Sandy Frazier serves as the sports medicine insurance coordinator and administrative assistant. In her role, she is responsible for coordinating medical claims for athletes between medical and insurance providers as well as assisting the director of sports medicine and staff with additional tasks. Frazier joined the department in 2003 as a part-time insurance coordinator and in 2004 was promoted to her current position.

Prior to joining James Madison, Frazier held numerous positions at Rockingham Memorial Hospital from 1984-2001. While with the hospital, she served as a pathology assistant, secretary for the director of the medical technology school, office coordinator for the rehab services and sports medicine office and was a client representative and coordinator for the veterans’ primary care clinic. Following these positions, she worked as the administrative assistant-office manager at Back in Action Physical Therapy in Harrisonburg, Virginia, from 2001-2004.

Graduating from Elizabeth Brant Business and Technology College in 1982, Frazier continues to further her education. Most recently, she completed a class about the laws of medical records and privacy at Blue Ridge Community College.
