WILMINGTON, N.C. - The James Madison swimming and diving teams earned seven individual wins and an addition pair of relay victories en route to a perfect 3-0 weekend at the CAA Pod Meet, taking down UNCW, Delaware and William and Mary across the two-day competition.

The Dukes won all three of their dual-meet matchups with the CAA opponents, taking down William and Mary 200.5-145.5 and Delaware 219-134, while cruising to a 252-101 victory over host UNCW.

"Overall we had a solid weekend of racing and competing on the boards," Head Coach
Dane Pedersen said. "It's always exciting and challenging to compete against teams in our conference. The girls did a good job representing JMU and staying together as a team."

Senior
Sin Hye Won was the only Duke to bring home a pair of individual wins, as JMU got a well-rounded performance across all events. Won swept the breaststroke events, taking home wins in the 100 and 200 breast with times of 1:04.91 and 2:20.75, respectively. The senior also took home fourth in the 200 IM (2:10.53), in addition to swimming the second leg of both the 200 and 400 medley relay, which both came in first.

The 400 medley relay, the Dukes' first win of the day, saw sophomore
MaryElizabeth Warhol, Won and seniors
Melissa Criscuolo and
Susanne Gingher clock a 3:49.31 to edge out second-place William and Mary by less than a second. The 200 medley relay was even closer, as the same quartet touched home in 1:45.71, while the Tribe was an arm-length behind in 1:45.78.

Aimee Hooper took home the Dukes' first individual win of the day with a 17:27.21 in the 1650 freestyle, while sophomore
Claire Adkins was just behind her in second with a time of 17:30.66. Sophomore
Shannon Harper captured her first victory of the season with a 1:53.12 in the 200 freestyle, just ahead of freshman
Quinn MacMillan (1:54.26) and junior
Kristen Zielinski (1:54.90) in fourth and fifth, respectively.

Reshirt sophomore
Taryn McLaughlin continued her success on the boards, rolling to a 37-point win in the 3-meter with a score of 318.25 and taking second place in the 1-meter with a score of 261.00. Junior
Carly Alexander was just behind with a fourth-place finish in the 1-meter (254.25) and a third-place showing on the 3-meter board (257.80).

Warhol took home her first victory as a Duke in the 100 backstroke, clocking a 56.88 to earn the win by more than half a second. Freshman
Courtney Clarke joined Warhol in the top five with a fourth-place finish in 58.17. Junior
Cameron Martin earned JMU's final victory on the day, as her time of 2:06.97 in the 200 butterfly gave the Dukes a 1-2 finish, as Criscuolo was just behind her in 2:07.32.

"In the first session we started out a little flat, but the girls did a great job racing hard and competing as a team in the next 2 swimming sessions. Our divers also performed well and turned in good performances on both boards."

The Dukes will be back in action Nov. 21-23, as the squad splits between a pair of meets in Chapel Hill, N.C. and Piscataway, N.J.
