Thank you for your interest in trying out to be the next Duke Dog! We are a program full history and tradition. We are a nationally competing program and play a vital role in creating a fun atmosphere not only on JMU's campus but in the community as well.
Applications for this position must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2014. Responsibilities will include but aren't limited to:
- Attend and perform at home and away JMU athletic competitions
- Attend various community and campus events within Virginia
- Develop and perform skits at athletic events and national competitions
- Assist with JMU's Puppy Pound, Student Duke Club, and other JMU Athletic Marketing efforts
- Attend scheduled meetings as needed
Essential Qualifications for Consideration include:
- Good Academic Standing
- Rising Sophomore or Junior (Preferred)
- Between the height of 5'10”- 6' 3”
- Excellent time management skills
- Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
- Flexible academic and work schedule
- Adaptable in any audience setting (Youth-Seniors)
- Ability to think quick on your feet
- Athletic endurance (Recommended)
- Passion for James Madison University!
