Harrisonburg, Va. – On Wednesday, James Madison Athletics and Kinduct announced a new partnership that will see Kinduct's Athlete Management System (AMS) implemented within JMU's athletic department. Kinduct's industry-leading technology platform will provide JMU's performance and medical staff, coaching staff and student-athletes with an additional layer of performance intelligence as they strive for further success in collegiate athletics.
The selection of Kinduct as its technology partner is evidence that JMU continues to take its athlete health, wellness and performance seriously. In its quest to improve how it collects and analyzes performance data, JMU engaged in a rigorous evaluation process and ultimately selected Kinduct as the top choice. This partnership further expands Kinduct's footprint in the NCAA, and will see the AMS used with JMU athletes in all sports.
"We are thrilled to have Kinduct on board and working with our programs. This partnership will assist us in our mission to foster a student-athlete centered community of professionals that communicates and collaborates to ensure the health, safety and general well-being of the JMU student-athletes, while maximizing the development of their athletic performance and pursuit of championships," JMU Associate A.D. for Integrated Health and Sports Performance
Tom Kuster said. "Kinduct's platform will expand our capabilities to manage our student-athletes and their performance data. As a new school year approaches, we look forward to delivering Kinduct's AMS to our athletes and staff in an effort to set them up for success."
Kinduct's intuitive platform provides actionable insights through the collection, analysis and correlation of data points from a myriad of sources that may not be otherwise realized. These advanced insights can inform decisions surrounding athlete performance, injury mitigation and recovery, and competition preparation. Kinduct's AMS helps to provide the coaching staff with additional means of collaboration for a 360-degree view of the athlete.
"We are excited to be JMU's chosen technology partner," Kinduct CEO Travis McDonough said. "Our cloud-based software is well-suited for NCAA schools who want to leverage technology to gain intelligence on a large number of athletes across multiple varsity teams. We are committed to providing our NCAA clients with highly versatile applications that can quickly enhance the workflows of coaches, sports scientists, trainers and athletes within one centralized system."
JMU recently captured the NCAA Division I Football Championship for the second time in its history. JMU Athletics has enjoyed a long history of championship success. In addition to the football national championship, the 2016-2017 season saw JMU win four conference championships and have eight programs advance in NCAA postseason tournaments.
