ASHLEY GIPPE
#23 | F/M | 5-5 | Virginia Beach, Va.
Ashley Gippe has been a great representation of JMU field hockey since she first put on the Purple and Gold. She scored her first collegiate goal her freshman season on her only shot taken against in-state rival VCU. Since that point she has had five multi-goal games including this season in the win over Appalachian State on September 9. Ashley made her first collegiate start against Old Dominion on September 18, 2016 and played the full 70 minutes in the win over the Monarchs. She was third on the team in goals (10) and points (22) her sophomore season. Ashley recorded a hat-trick in a 7-2 win at Towson on October 29, 2017. She finished her career having played in 49 games and registering 21 goals with five assists including four game winners. As a health science (pre-occupational therapy) major with a minor in special education, Ashley will be working for Blue Ridge Insurance and helping out with the JMU field hockey team.
LINDSAY GIPPE
#21 | D | 5-4 | Virginia Beach, Va.
Lindsay Gippe has anchored the Dukes defense for four seasons. Her freshman she played in just one game but helped the Dukes pick up a shutout victory over Drexel. Lindsay made her first collegiate start on September 16, 2016 against New Hampshire playing 65 minutes. As a defender, Lindsay didn't see her name much in the stat sheet until she dished out an assist against Towson on October 29, 2017. However, this season Lindsay has been a force to be reckoned with. She tallied her first collegiate goal in the season opener against #23 Liberty with a pass from her sister Ashley. Since than she has tallied two multi-goal games, recorded her first game-winning goal at Drexel and tally a defensive save against Richmond. The senior is second on the team with goals (6), assists (7) and points (19). She was also the CAA Player of the Week on September 25. As a sport and recreation management major with a business minor, Lindsay has a full-time job with Mettle Events after Graduation. She also hopes to get her personal training certification after graduation.

She started in 10 of 20 games played, including the pair of CAA tournament contests. Corey recorded her first multi-goal game during her junior season at Richmond. She has registered three multi-goal game performances over her years and tallied five points for the most in a game for the senior against Richmond. Corey's second goal against the Spiders would also be her second-game winning goal of her career.
