QUOTING ASSISTANT COACH JASON SINKOFF
"Josh and Tate really stepped up in doubles today. They returned well and closed on all floating balls. We had a great fall because everyone showed up after the summer in shape and ready to go. We were able to spend a lot of time on improving doubles strategy, performing at a high level on pressure points, and fitness. Everyone improved this fall, but we have to keep getting better everyday to reach our team goals for the spring."
Wake Forest InvitationalÂ
Sophomore
Gonzalo Adis used a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Richmond's Campbell Erwin to secure his first singles title of the fall season. Adis never lost a set in his three victories through the D2 Singles Draw.
"He played a consistent match with his level," head coach
Steve Secord said. "He was smart picking the right times to attack and when to grind. Overall, it was exactly the tournament we needed and a great way to end the fall."
Sophomore
Alvaro Arce fell in his third-place match to Tennessee Tech's Wenc Albin, but not without putting up a fight. After losing the opening set 6-1, Arce fought back to force a third set, eventually falling 6-1, 1-6, 6-1.Â
