ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – James Madison men's tennis won three straight singles matches, including two in three sets, en route to a thrilling 4-3 victory against Boston University on Tuesday afternoon at Sanlando Park.
The Dukes improved to 7-4 on the year, while the Terriers fell to 3-8. JMU won a pair of doubles matches and three of six singles matches for its third straight victory.

Holden Koons opened the match with a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles over Max Hartenstein and Pedro Gutierrez. Moments later, junior

William Karpinski clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory against Kirill Belov and Ethan Kolsky at No. 3.
After BU tied the match with a win at No. 6 singles, the Dukes reclaimed the lead, at 2-1, as Koons won 6-4, 6-4 on court two against Hartenstein, moving his win streak to eight straight. Junior
Alvaro Arce had a clean sheet in the third set against David Bogatin, winning on court one by scores of 6-4, 4-6, 6-0.
Karpinski stormed back on court five to seal the team's victory, as he rallied past Gutierrez 4-6, 6-1, 6-2.
BU won the final two singles matches, as Owen Lu outlasted sophomore
Stefan Petrovic in a third-set, super tiebreaker on court three and Pete Siozios rallied for a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over senior
