Gross Named CAA Diver of the Week

Harrisonburg, Va. – James Madison senior diver Emily Gross has earned Colonial Athletic Association Diver of the Week accolades after her impressive scores on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Fairfax, Va. native produced a NCAA B cut score of 314.20 in the prelims of the 3-meter dive at the Duke Dog Diving Invite. Gross took third in the finals of the 3-meter with a score of 276.00.

In the 1-meter prelims, the senior diver recorded an NCAA Zone A Qualifying score of 276.50 and then improved to 277.55 to finish fourth in the finals.

The same scores were used in the Dukes' home dual meet against Richmond, where she finished second in both events.

Gross and five JMU divers travel to Greensboro, N.C. for the NCAA Zone A Championships on March 11-12.
