Greensboro, N.C. – James Madison diving wraps up the final day of the NCAA Zone A Championships with three divers qualifying for the 3-meter finals, on Friday afternoon at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

The preliminary round consisted of 26 divers competing for the top 18 spots that move on to the event finals. The top-five finishers in the final earned spots at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.

In the preliminary round of the 3-meter event, sophomore
Lindsey Hammar led the way for JMU tying for 11
th place, to qualify finals, scoring 251.70. Seniors
Faith Anderson and
Emily Gross tabbed a spot in the event finals, Anderson placing 16
th with 243.60 and Gross behind in 17
th recording a 240.40.

Senior
Sami Ullman placed 24
th scoring 222.70. Freshman
Lexi Lehman recorded 213.20, followed by senior
Sarah Stim with 207.50.

Gross and Anderson went on to compete in the finals of the 3-meter dive. Gross placed 14
th improving to a score of 249.4. Anderson placed 16
th scoring 241.80. Hammar did not compete in the finals.Â

James Madison Swimming and diving prepares for the Colonial Athletic Association Championships. The diving portion will take place in Newark, Del. On March 26-27 while the swimming will be hosted at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center in Christiansburg, Va. on March 29 - April 2.
