CHRISTIANSBURG, VA -- James Madison swimming wrapped up the second day of the Colonial Athletic Association Swimming Championships on Tuesday, collecting one bronze medal, two silver medals and a gold medal, asÂ
Madison Cottrell was crowned the champion in 100-yard butterfly.
Two Dukes competed in the 100-yard butterfly A Finals, as Cottrell claimed the gold with a time of 53.91. The freshman added her name to JMU's All-Time Top 10 in the event, taking over the number two spot on the list.Â
Morgan Whaley placed fourth with a time of 54.79, placing fifth on JMU's All-Time Results list.
Bailey Butler was the lone Duke in the 400-yard individual medley - the senior placed eighth with a time of 4:32.52.Â
Lauren Aylmer placed third in the B Finals to claim 11
th overall in the 400 IM with a time of 4:30.38.

Julianna Jones placed fourth with a time of 1:50.15, followed byÂ
Paige Assaid in fifth with 1:50.46 andÂ
Jordyn Schnell in sixth with 1:51.30. In the B Finals,Â
Karen Siddoway placed first to claim ninth place overall with a time of 1:50.58.Â
Jill Santiago placed 13
th overall recording a time of 1:52.55.
Mackenzie Lawson claimed the silver in the 100-yard breaststroke recording a 1:03.04, the sixth fastest time in program history.Â
Devan Taylor placed fourth with a time of 1:03.96.
Cottrell collected her second medal of the night, taking the silver in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.99, the Dukes' fifth-fastest time ever.Â
Cameron Gring claimed the bronze with a time of 55.01, tabbing the sixth fastest time at JMU.Â
Alaina Park placed fourth with a time of 55.20, claiming the tenth spot on JMU's All-Time Results list, whileÂ
Sydni Diehl placed sixth with a time of 56.14.Â
Emily Drakopoulos placed 12
th with a time of 56.74.
