The James Madison Dukes look to complete a 2-0 weekend as they host the Huskies of Northeastern on Sunday, Jan. 30 at 2 p.m.
On Friday evening, the Dukes topped Hofstra 65-53 in Harrisonburg.
Kiki Jefferson scored her 1,000th career point in the win to become the 32nd player in JMU women's basketball history to achieve this feat.
The junior guard ended the night with 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one block and a steal.
Jefferson is the Dukes' leading scorer with 18.4 points per game.
Jaylin Carodine leads JMU on the boards, averaging 10.3 rebounds per night. The Bowie, Md. native has collected double figure rebounds in eight games thus far this season and has recorded two double-doubles.
 SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Northeastern arrives at the Atlantic Union Bank Center following an 86-81 loss at Towson on Jan. 28.
Kendall Currence led the Huskies in the loss with a game-high 31 points. Currence averages 16.4 points per outing to lead Northeastern.
Rookie Claudia Soriano adds 11.7 points per game for the Huskies. She has scored in double figures in 12 of 16 games this year.
Soriano has been named the conference's Rookie of the Week four times this season. The Barcelona, Spain native leads the conference with 3.4 steals per game.
Northeastern leads the CAA with their field goal percentage of 43%.
 SERIES HISTORY
JMU holds an impressive 28-2 record in the all-time series against the Huskies.
The programs first met on Dec. 27, 1986, where the Dukes won 64-61 in Philadelphia.
Northeastern's first win over JMU came on Feb. 19, 2012 in Boston when the Huskies walked away with a 61-50 victory.
In their last meeting, the Dukes beat Northeastern 81-65 on Mar. 11, 2021 in the CAA Quarterfinals at Elon.
