WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – James Madison out-rebounded former Colonial Athletic Association foe William & Mary 53-31 to secure the victory on the road, 75-60 on Sunday afternoon inside Kaplan Arena.
JMU (7-2) is on a four-game winning streak, while the Tribe falls to 4-5 on the young season. W&M looks to bounce back at Longwood on Dec. 18.

How It Happened
- The Dukes came out cold, starting 0-for-8 from the field as William & Mary built an 8-1 lead. JMU got hot late in the period, finishing on a 15-4 run for an 18-14 lead.
- McDaniel was vital coming off the bench, scoring eight points and hitting two triples in the first quarter.
- James Madison continued to knock down three-pointers, wrapping the first half 6-of-15 (40.0%). The bench also contributed 21 points for the 34-26 advantage at the break.
- JMU continued to roll in third, outscoring William & Mary 22-10. Jefferson and McDaniel combined for seven and six points, respectively, to make it a 56-36 game with one quarter remaining.
- The Dukes coasted to a 75-60 victory, shooting 8-of-16 (50.0%) in the final quarter with six points from Kozlova.

- James Madison leads the all-time series 76-17 and has won the last nine contests. Additionally, JMU has not lost in Williamsburg, Va. since 2016.
- The Dukes brought down 53 rebounds, the third time this season JMU has registered at least 50 boards. Moreover, James Madison finished +22 in rebounding margin, the fifth time the team has won the rebounding battle.
- JMU hit six three-pointers in the first half. Six makes from beyond the arc are better or equal to three full games. The Dukes finished 9-of-27 (33.3%) from deep, the second-most makes by James Madison this season.
- The Dukes recorded a season-best 19 assists, led by Hazell and Jefferson with five apiece. Additionally, the team committed just 12 turnovers, the second-best performance this year.
- McDaniel hit 5-of-9 (55.6%) from long range for 17 points. The junior has knocked down five or more threes for the third time in 2022-23. Moreover, she has made at least three triples in four contests this season.
