Pedersen Adds Transfer to 2022-23 Roster

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison swimming & diving will add Angela Ritchie to its roster for the 2022-23 season, as announced by Head Coach Dane Pedersen on Thursday afternoon.

"We are thrilled about Angela's commitment," Pedersen said. "She was the perfect fit into our team culture, team needs and JMU community. She will come in and contribute and we can't wait for her to arrive on campus in the fall."

Hometown/High School/Former School: Richmond, Va./Monacan/North Texas
Career highlights: Swam one season at North Texas… Competes in butterfly and IM events… Swam the best time at North Texas in the 200 Fly last season at 2:05.40… Swam the third best time on the team last season in the 200 Free (1:56.11) and the 100 Fly (59.37)… Named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and received the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal.

Ritchie will join a team that is in search of a sixth consecutive team title after four straight CAA championships and an ECAC title last season.
