HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison Head Coach
Steve Secord announced the men's tennis program's completed incoming class, which consists of
Aathreya Mahesh,
Julian Lozano,
Canon Secord and
Francisco Sinopoli.
The program previously announced Mahesh, Lozano and Secord signing with the Dukes back in the fall, while Sinopoli's signing this month rounds out the class.
Â
Mahesh, Lozano and Sinopoli are all incoming freshman, while Secord, the son of JMU's long-time head coach, transfers in with one year of eligibility remaining. Sinopoli will join the program in January and the other three will start with the Dukes this fall.
Â
"I am really excited for our upcoming year," Secord said. "A couple of things that stand out the most about our four incoming guys. First, they love tennis and are all dedicated to the daily improvement process in the weight room and on court. They are also really excited to be at JMU. The combination of being happy with where you are and the understanding of how to improve and willingness to work on that process every day is the perfect formula for success. Our returners and this group of incoming student-athletes are going to be fierce competitors and are going to be difficult to beat. I can't wait to get started!"
