2014: Served as a team captain, leading the Dukes to a 9-4 record and the program’s first NCAA Playoff berth since 2011... Was a First Team All-Colonial Athletic Association and Virginia Sports Information All-State honoree… Finished seventh among the league's defensive backs and 19th overall with 7.4 tackles per contest (a career-best 96 total) to go with four interceptions.,, Also had 5.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, five pass breakups and one fumble recovery,,, Best game was in the home victory against Towson, recording a season-high 12 tackles and one sack... In the regular-season finale against Elon had two interceptions, including one for a touchback, along with four tackles to help the Dukes seal a berth in the NCAA FCS Playoffs... Made at least five tackles in six of the eight CAA games and 10 of the 13 contests overall... Earned an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game as well as the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
2013: CAA Commissioner's Academic Award. Starter at safety for the third consecutive year, starting all 12 games in 2013… Earned Second Team All-CAA and Second Team All-State defensive back honors after recording 77 tackles, including 36 solo tackles, one interception, on fumble recovery and seven passes defended… Ranked third on the team and 12th among league defensive backs with 6.4 tackles per game… Had a career-high 13 tackles, seven of them solo, against Stony Brook… That SBU mark surpasses his previous high of 12, with five solos, set in the victory over Richmond earlier in the year… Posted seven stops with an interception returned for 35 yards in the victory over Central Connecticut State… Had four tackles and a fumble recovery at William & Mary… Had four or more tackles in all 12 contests, with six of seven or more… Also garnered Third Team All-CAA accolades as a punt returner after ranking fifth in the league in punt returns… Averaged 7.4 yards on 14 returns with a long of 31 against Stony Brook.
2012: Started all 11 games at safety for the Dukes... Named First Team All-CAA, as the only sophomore on the CAA defensive first team and one of four non-seniors... Also honored as First Team All-State by Roanoke Times and VaSID... One of the leaders on a JMU defense that was second in the CAA in scoring, first in rushing stats and fifth in pass defense... Had a career season-high 82 tackles on the year including 44 solos, 5.0 for loss, seven passes defended, team-high tying three interceptions, one forced fumble and one safety... Had a career high-tying 12 tackles in the home win over William & Mary, one of two games with 10 or more tackles on the year... Ranked second on the team, ninth in the CAA overall and third among CAA defensive backs at 7.45 tackles per game and 7.63 in league contests... Tied for eighth in the CAA with three interceptions (0.27 per game).
2011: Named Third Team All-CAA as a safety, one of just three freshmen to earn All-CAA honors on the defensive side of the ball... Also earned Roanoke Times Second Team Division I All-State and VaSID Second Team All-Virginia honors... Started 12 of 13 games played at safety... Fourth on the team and tops among defensive backs in tackles with 71, including 2.5 for a loss... Led the team with four interceptions... Had four tackles and an interception in his first career start against North Carolina... Made five tackles, including 1.5 for a loss against Central Connecticut State... Recorded four tackles and intercepted a pass against Villanova... Had a season-high 12 tackles, one tackle for a loss and a pass breakup against New Hampshire... 2010: Retained the year of eligibility after redshirting.
High School: Two-way starter at quarterback and defensive back coach Tom Pugh at Holy Cross... As a senior was New York Post and New York Daily News Queens Player of the Year... Team lost in the New York CHSFL semifinals... First Team All-Queens and All-New York City as a quarterback... Threw for 1,657 yards and 15 touchdowns... rushed for 797 yards and 15 touchdowns... Had 63 tackles and five interceptions, one of which was returned 102 yards for a touchdown... As a junior was First Team All-CHSFL, All-Queens and All-New York City... Team reached CHSFL quarterfinals... Had 75 tackles and six interceptions in his junior season and combined for more than 750 punt and kickoff returns yards one touchdown... Team MVP his senior year... Offensive MVP in 2009 CHSFL Senior Bowl All-Star Game... Selected to play in New York High School Football Classic, picking off three passes and leading the Downstate squad to a win... Also picked to Outback Steakhouse Empire Challenge All-Star Game in June, where he helped the New York City team defeat the Long Island squad... Ran track... First Honors Honor Roll (91 average or better) freshman through senior years... St. Clair academic tutor volunteer.
