2014: Played in 12 contests, starting 10, was third on the team with 80 total tackles, 39 of them solo, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery… Recorded a career-high 11 tackles in the FCS Playoff game against Liberty… Had six solos and 10 total tackles along with 0.5 sack, in the Homecoming win over William & Mary… Had nine tackles each against Stony Brook and Richmond… Recovered fumbles against Villanova and Towson, including returning the Towson fumble for his first collegiate touchdown…
2013: Played in eight games off the bench… Posted a career-high two tackles in a win over Central Connecticut State… Mostly saw action on special teams.
2012: Redshirted and retained the year of eligibility.
High School: Named First Team All-Eastern Region, as selected by the region’s coaches, All-Tidewater by the Virginian-Pilot and All-District his senior year after helping lead Oscar Smith to a Group AAA Division 6 state title and 14 consecutive victories to end the year... Also garnered All-State honors for his play... Recorded 105 tackles in 2011, including 10 sacks and five forced fumbles for Coach Richard Morgan... Had nine tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in the state championship victory over Centreville... Ranked No. 44 among the top 100 players in Virginia by the Roanoke Times and in the top 30 in the state by Rivals.com... Had 12 sacks his sophomore season... Was also a member of the 2008 state championship team as a freshman... Competed in track as a freshman... Was on the Honor Roll... Chose JMU over offers from Ball State, Florida Atlantic, Liberty, Massachusetts, North Carolina Central, Old Dominion and Western Michigan.
