2014: Selected to the All-CAA First Team... Paced the Dukes' defense on the front lines, leading the league's defensive linemen and tied for 42nd overall in the CAA with 5.6 tackles per game (a career-high 73 total)... Became just the 14th player in JMU history to record 10 or more sacks in a single season, a mark that was a league-best and school-record 13.5 sacks... Also had 23.5 tackles for loss on the year, ranking second in the league and 11th in FCS football, while also forcing four fumbles on the season... Was a two-time CAA Defensive Player of the Week... Recorded nine tackles (including a career-high tying seven solos), 4.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks - which tied career highs for both tackles for loss and sacks and set career highs for both in yardage lost - at William & Mary... Played a big part in limiting the Tribe to just 274 yards of total offense at Bridgeforth Stadium on Nov. 1... Had two tackles, including a sack, on the Tribe's first drive of the fourth quarter to force a 3-and-out... Then on the final drive sacked the W&M quarterback on what ended up being the final play of the game... Also recorded a career-high 10 tackles twice this year in victories against Saint Francis and Stony Brook.
2013: Played in eight games, starting three of them, as he battled through an injury… Posted 19 tackles, 12 of them solos, including 8.5 tackles for 47 yards of loss, 4.5 sacks for 35 yards, three forced fumbles and a pass breakup…. Had a career-high seven tackles including 3.0 sacks, 4.0 tackles for loss and a forced fumble in a win against St. Francis (Pa.)... Also had four tackles with a tackle for loss at Akron.
2012: Saw action in nine games (missing two due to injury), getting the start at Richmond... Had 15 tackles on the year with eight solos, 4.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one blocked kick... Had a career-high five tackles with a season-best 2.0 sacks in the home win over Georgia State... Had a key blocked kick that was converted to a touchdown on the following play, along with two tackles, in the overtime win over against William & Mary.
2011: Played in 11 games as a true freshman, all coming off the bench... Had 10 tackles on the year, with four solos, 3.5 sacks for 29 yards of loss and three forced fumbles... Had a season-high four tackles with 2.5 sacks for 17 yards and two forced fumbles in the home win over Richmond... Also had three tackles in his first collegiate game at North Carolina.
High School: Spent the last year at Fork Union Military Academy... Played both defensive end and wide receiver for the Ocean Lakes Dolphins and Coach Chris Scott... Named Virginian-Pilot First Team All-Beach District and Second Team All-Eastern Region his senior year at defensive end at Ocean Lakes after finishing with 57 tackles, 10 sacks and a fumble return for touchdown.
