Prior to the meet, the Dukes honored five seniors for their contributions to the program:
Sin Hye Won,
Susanne Gingher,
Melissa Criscuolo,
Aimee Hooper and
Alex Savage.
"In addition to the meet, today was about our seniors," Pedersen said. "We wanted to honor and recognize them as they competed in Godwin for the last time in their very successful careers. I know [Coach] Becky [Benson] agrees when I say we are so indebted to these great women. We will sorely miss Sue, Sin Hye, Alex, Aimee and Missy but are so grateful they were a part of our swimming and diving family. They will leave a big footprint when they depart, but they aren't finished just yet."
JMU will be back in the pool next weekend, as the squad splits for a pair of events hosted by Atlantic Coast Conference opponents. The swimmers will head to Chapel Hill, N.C. for the College Cup, hosted by North Carolina on Feb. 7-8, while the divers travel to the Cavalier Invitational in Charlottesville, Va. on the same days.
