LYNCHBURG, Va. – Junior Timea Guiberepresented the James Madison women's tennis team in the main singles draw and teamed up with freshman Bella Heidenreich for the main doubles draw on day two of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Atlantic Regional tournament.
In the main singles draw round-of-64, Guibe fell to Penn State's Katia Blik 6-4, 6-4. She moved into the main doubles draw round-of-32, where she and Heidenreich were unable to overcome Virginia's Julia Elbaba and Skylar Morton, dropping an 8-1 decision to the Cavaliers.
Freshman Emma Petersenwent 2-0 in consolation matches on Friday, including an 8-5 win over Penn State's Katherine Whiteaway in singles action. Petersen also teamed with junior Rebecca Harrisfor an 8-5 win over Whiteaway and Jacqueline Zuhse in doubles play.
