HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison women's tennis won its second straight in dominant fashion with a 7-0 victory against George Washington on Tuesday afternoon at the East Campus Tennis Courts.
The Dukes moved to 5-1 on the year, while the Colonial fell to 2-3. It was JMU's ninth straight win against GW, as it improved to 30-8 all-time since the 1981-82 campaign.
JMU won two of three doubles matches while capturing all six singles bouts in straight sets.

Jona Roka made quick work of Alexandra Vesikallio and Lindsay Thompson, winning on court two, 6-1.
After GW claimed a 6-3 win on court one, the Dukes secured the doubles point with a 6-2 triumph by redshirt sophomores

Natalia Nikolopoulou versus Sarah Bodewes and Charlotte Bell on court three.
Transitioning over to singles, Nikolopoulou cruised by Vesikallio, winning on court three by scores of 6-1, 6-3. The Dukes extended their lead to 3-0 on court one, as redshirt sophomore
Daria Afanasyeva downed Stella Wiesemann, 7-5, 6-2.
Roka clinched the team win on court two, winning a tight one against Alexis Nelson, 6-4, 7-5. Fellow redshirt senior
Alexis Franco kept the momentum going in the second half of singles play, rolling to a 6-1, 6-0 victory on court five against Bell.
The Dukes closed out the match with two more wins on courts four and six. Moulin took down Bodewes by scores of 6-4, 6-1, and Voloh completed the shutout victory with a 6-0, 6-0 win against Thompson.
MATCH NOTES
- Jona Roka moved to within just one victory of Emma Peterson for JMU's all-time lead in combined wins (singles and doubles), as she sits at 152. Peterson won 153 total matches from 2015-19.
- Roka also tied Jacqueline Palmucci (2010-14) for second all-time at JMU with 77 career singles victories. Her doubles win was the 75th of her career, which is eight off Taylor Pinchoff (2011-15), who had 83 doubles wins.
- Daniela Voloh remained unbeaten, moving to 4-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles play this spring.
- Kylie Moulin and Roka won their third straight doubles match as a team.
