HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison men's tennis completed its home-opening weekend with yet another victory, as it downed Washington & Lee, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon at East Campus Tennis Courts.

The Dukes (3-2) won their third straight after capturing all three doubles matches and the top five singles courts against the Generals (2-1), including three in straight sets.

JMU nabbed the early 1-0 lead after cruising in doubles play. On court three,
Harrison Lee and
Damian Sancilio rolled past Sahil Arora and Harrison Silver, at 6-1.

The clinching point occurred on court two, where
Zach Fleishman and
Grant Kroodsma beat Pearce Lane and Sanjheev Rao, 6-2. That win for Fleishman and Kroodsma was their first as a doubles tandem since June 7, 2024, when the duo won the VHSL 6A state doubles championship at Deep Run High School.

The Dukes completed the doubles sweep with a 6-3 victory on court one, as
Esteve Agusti and
Francisco Sinopoli upended Justin Ilie and Heys Parker.

In singles play, JMU quickly grew the lead to 3-0 with straight-set victories on courts three and two, which saw 6-0 wins by JMU in each respective first set. Sinopoli got past Ilie by a 6-0, 6-3 margin, before
Ryan Morgan dominated from start to finish in a 6-0, 6-2 win over Todd Cannaliato.

JMU clinched the win on court one, as Agusti bounced back in the third set after dropping a second-set tiebreak, defeating Parker, 6-3, 6-7 (2), 6-1. Moments later,
Gur Libal extended JMU's lead to 5-0 with a 6-3, 6-0 victory against Arora on court four. That included winning 11 of the last 12 games after starting down 2-1.

To close the day, Lee rallied from a set down on court five, winning a super tiebreaker against Lane for a 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (6) triumph. W&L got on the board with a super breaker win on court six, as Rao downed Kroodsma, 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (8).
