Career Highlights
2012: Only player from recruiting class to see action as a true freshman... Played in eight games overall, getting the start against Georgia State and Maine before an injury took him out of hte final two contests... Was 41-for-77 for 478 yards with four touchdowns and just one interception (119.9 efficiency)... Also had 26 carries for 179 yards and one score... Came off the bench at Richmond and was 11-for-22 for 159 yards and one touchdown through the air and had seven carries for 73 yards and one score on the ground... Had a season-best 36-yard carry against the Spiders... Got his first start in the win over Georgia State where he was 11-for-23 for 119 yards and one touchdown passing and had six rushes for 43 yards... Had a season-long 39-yard pass twice during the season.
High School: Three-year letterwinner at quarterback for Matoaca for Coach Pat Manuel, amassing more than 3,000 passing yards and 31 touchdowns in his career... Named Central District Player of the Year and First Team All-Central District by the coaches his senior season after throwing for 1,758 yards and 19 touchdowns and rushing for 400 yards and six scores... Garnered Richmond Times-Dispatch Second Team All-Region and All-Metro accolades as well as Virginia Preps All-Central Region Special Recognition and Second-Team All Region honors in 2011... Ranked No. 41 among the top 100 players in Virginia by the Roanoke Times... Had 1,057 yards of passing and 10 touchdowns his junior year while playing in just six games... Quarterback MVP Award at the March 2011 National Underclassmen Combine in Richmond... Played basketball and baseball during his high school career... Was a member of the Honor Roll.
