At JMU: Fifth-year Duke who the JMU staff hopes can step into a key role at LB after being used as a DB for most of his career... moved from safety late during spring drills and was among the team's more-impressive performers during its spring game... has good speed and is physical and has an opportunity to be very productive at LB as he learns the position, said LB coach Kyle Gillenwater.
2006: Played in each game as a reserve safety and special teams player... had 13 tackles (4 solo)... forced a fumble at Virginia Military... recovered a fumbled punt to set up a JMU TD at the end of the first half at Towson... had three stops vs. Bloomsburg (2 solo) and Delaware...had two stops vs. Northeastern and Rhode Island and stops vs. Virginia Military, Villanova and Youngstown State.
2005: Played in the first 10 games and started vs. Delaware State... had eight tackles (3 solo) and broke up three passes... had two tackles vs. Coastal Carolina and Delaware State and broke up two passes at Coastal Carolina... had solo stops at Coastal Carolina, Delaware and William & Mary.
2004: As a red-shirt freshman played in 12 games as a reserve DB and on special teams after moving from WR during the spring... had a solo tackle in the playoffs at Lehigh.
High School: All-city WR as a senior and all-city, all-region and third-team all-state safety as a junior at Macon Central... three-time winner of Central’s award for team dedication and hard work... seventh-place state finisher in the 400 meters in track as a junior and a second-place regional finisher in the 400 meters and a third-place state finisher in the long jump as a senior... on a fifth-place state 400-meter relay team.
