At JMU: Fifth-year Duke who is expected to be a fourth-year tackle starter and potentially among the nation’s leading offensive linemen, said offensive line coach Chris Malone… expected to provide senior leader and serve as a mentor for the team’s younger offensive linemen and is dependable and a “rock” on the offensive line, said Malone.
2009: Starter throughout the season at offensive tackle… First-Team All-Virginia Division I by the Roanoke Times and Second-Team All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association… third-team All-CAA… helped JMU run for an average of 180.5 yards per game.
2008: Offensive tackle starter throughout the year and a key performer who helped the Dukes average 38.1 points and 401.4 yards of total offense per game, including 282.8 yards per game rushing… third-team All-CAA… Second-Team All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association and the Roanoke Times.
2007: Starter at offensive tackle in 11 games after sitting out 2006 as a freshman redshirt… didn’t play vs. Towson in JMU’s final regular-season game.
High School: Captain in football and basketball at Chatham… as a senior was an All-District and All-Region offensive lineman and defensive lineman and district and region offensive lineman of the year… First-Team All-State defensive end and a Second-Team All-State offensive tackle.
